Dress to Skirt Refashion 2

Hey there! How's everyone's week so far?
Just a heads up... my friend Kimberly is having a week of great giveaways going on right now for her big WordPress move...and I'm sponsoring one of the giveaways! Click HERE to enter, and don't forget to check out the other 6 giveaways at A Night Owl Blog.

If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen a few sneak peeks of my most recent refashion. I wore this dress once (for the 4th of July about 5 years ago) and it's hung in my closet ever since. I wanted to make the dress into something I'd feel more comfortable wearing on a more regular basis...rather than every 5 or so years *winks*

I love the prints on the dress (I heart polka dots and stripes) and I have pretty much NO red in my wardrobe. I used the same method as the first dress I upcycled into a skirt. You can check that out HERE.

This time I decided to make a skirt and then use the straps of the dress to make a matching headband. Here's how it turned out...

I wore this outfit to church this past Sunday and got quite a few compliments on it. I think my favorite part of this refashion is the headband.

So...what do you think?
Successful refashion?

Have you refashioned anything lately? I'd love for you to share it with us at our next fashion party...DIY Diva Thursdays! We love the share all things FASHION related...join us!

I love it! I think you could also pull it up as a long top or short dress and put leggings or skinny jeans under! I so love this!

Nice job
